Table Cloth - Chain Stitch
Hello readers, hope you are all doing well.
In this post, I am presenting a beautiful
table cloth. This hand-embroidered table cloth pattern done with only chain
stitch. You can observe there are two lines of chain stitch is used, to make
the outline thicker of this free-hand design.
To make the work simple I have done only outline instead of filling. In all the colours (i.e. blue, green and orange) two shades of threads are used. The outer one is with a dark shade and inner is the lighter one. Silk thread is used on cotton cloth.
You may try this pattern, a very easy project and doesn’t take much time to finish. If you try this let me know your experience.

Table Cloth – For kids
Amma always tries to do something creative and here is one example.
This is a very old project, a table cloth for kids.
Different patches of cartoons done with simple Stem stitch or Outline stitch. These are pictures depicting different professions and Donald duck cartoons.
No other stitches or colours are used here. To give a perfect finish to those tiny details
like eyes, hairs or shoes you need expertise in stem stitch. Amma managed this effortlessly.
Then
she Sewed those patches on a large cloth and bordered with black lace. The
beautiful table cloth for kids is ready. You may do this with patches of
different colours, even may try different colours threads.
If you like the work, please convey your opinion in comment section.

Table Cloth, With Buttonhole Stitch
Hi all,
I am an art enthusiast and inherited this quality
from my Amma. Through this blog, I am presenting all the hand embroidery work
done by her. Let the world see her talent. I also assisted her in a few of her
works.
This is a hand Embroidered Table Cloth. We wanted one small table cloth for our round center tea-poi. And we wanted to finish it soon. So we chose this particular floral design and filled it with buttonhole stitch. Buttonhole stitch which is also called ad Blanket. This stitch is a best suited stitch used for filling. We used Stem stitch for the outline of the flowers. Those green lines are made out of Twisted Chain Stitch. Silk thread is used for the whole artwork. I have also plan to add a tutorial to the blog.
Hope you all like the work, let me know your opinion through comments.
